Sri Lanka Cake Award was founded by the Founder President, Deshamaniya Dr. Fathima Rushda Najimudeen, with the mission of recognizing the talents of Sri Lankan cake artists across the country. The initiative began in 2018 with the inaugural cake exhibition and awards, featuring over 30 cake displays in its first year.
Senior artists were honored with medals during the inaugural ceremony, and due to overwhelming interest, the event has now successfully completed nine sessions. This year, SLICCA proudly hosts two ceremonies, including the 10th edition of the Sri Lanka Cake Award 2025.
Over the years, numerous artists from across Sri Lanka have been recognized under more than 20 award titles in both Basic and Advanced categories, making it the largest sugar art show in the country. Artists showcase a wide variety of creations, highlighting their skills across different levels, and the competition is judged by a panel of international experts.
As we celebrate this milestone 10th edition, registrations are now open through the link below for nominations to the upcoming event. Special thanks to all the talented cake artists who have contributed to the success of the Sri Lanka Cake Awards, organized by SLICCA.
Each applicant can nominate for a maximum of any THREE categories ONLY.
The applicant should have supporting images uploaded in their social media at the time of nominations or the applicant can be a beginner in cake industry who is ready to present the exhibit in their desired category.
Each applicant is allowed to fill ONE application only with valid contact details.
A panel of judges will shortlist the finalists for the categories and all finalists should produce their final masterpiece happening at exhibition in December 2025
The entry fees of Rs.7500 is applicable on all finalist to obtain a reference and this fee is nonrefundable.
The closing date for all nomination is 1st of November 2025
All applicant will be notify about their short listed categories by the 5th of November 2025.
